The clients I'm best positioned to serve

As a bilingual (Spanish & English) trauma-sensitive therapist, I offer integrative, individualized care. My approach is shaped by your unique needs. I utilize evidence-based modalities like MI, ACT, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, creative arts, and positive reinforcement to address depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex trauma. I have experience supporting individuals from many different backgrounds and life experiences, and more recently my work has focused primarily on providing individual therapy for adults. While I specialize in trauma-informed care, I also work with a broad range of emotional, relational, and mental health concerns. As your therapist, my priority is to offer a compassionate and supportive space where you can feel safe, understood, and empowered to reconnect with yourself, strengthen your well-being, and foster greater balance between your mind and body. With over 9 years in mental health, I've served diverse groups—all ethnicities, ages, cultures, LGBTQI+, and those with disabilities or mental illnesses. I honor your experiences, understanding stigma's impact. Beyond changing perceptions, I'm here to empower you, improve your quality of life. My commitment is a passion, not just a job title.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences rather than feeling overwhelmed or controlled by them. Together, we’ll practice skills that help you stay present, make space for uncomfortable feelings with compassion, and reconnect with what truly matters to you. The goal is to help you move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life, even during challenging moments.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can explore any mixed feelings or uncertainty you may have about change. Rather than telling you what to do, I help you connect with your own values, strengths, and reasons for making changes that feel meaningful to you. Together, we work at your pace to build confidence, increase motivation, and support lasting growth.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck or causing distress, and work on developing healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and coping. The goal is to help you feel more empowered, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful changes in your daily life.

Narrative

I use Narrative Therapy to help you explore the stories you’ve come to believe about yourself and your life experiences. Together, we’ll look at how certain problems may have shaped those stories, while also identifying your strengths, values, resilience, and moments that may have been overlooked. The goal is to help you separate yourself from the problem and create a more empowering, compassionate understanding of your identity and future.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use a Solution-Focused approach to help you build on your existing strengths, resources, and past successes rather than focusing only on problems. Together, we’ll identify clear, realistic goals and explore small, meaningful steps that can help create positive change in your daily life. This approach is collaborative, supportive, and centered on helping you recognize your ability to move toward the future you want.
