New to Grow
I believe that growth and change are possible for everyone—sometimes we just need the right tools and support to get there. In my practice, I combine evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT with practical psychoeducation to help teens, women, and men navigate anxiety, depression, negative self-talk, grief and complex life dynamics, including adoption and foster care experiences. My goal is to create a clear, supportive environment where you learn practical skills to manage distress, reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and build a stronger, healthier relationship with yourself. Together, we will focus on understanding your challenges and building the actionable tools you need to move forward.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and lay the groundwork for your growth. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, look at the patterns you want to change, and outline clear goals for our work together. My hope is that you leave your very first session feeling deeply heard, relieved, and empowered—equipped with a clear understanding of your next steps and practical tools you can start using right away.
Therapy with me is a balance of deep support and active growth. I provide a compassionate, safe space to slow down and feel heard, but I won't just sit back and nod. When you're ready, I will gently push back, challenge unhelpful patterns, and hold you accountable to the growth you want to see. You get both a safe place to land and a partner in your progress.
My ideal client is a teen or adult ready to roll up their sleeves and do the work. They might be struggling with anxiety, depression, negative self-image, or complex family dynamics like adoption or loss, and they are tired of feeling stuck. They want a therapist who offers a safe, compassionate space to unpack heavy emotions, but also someone who will actively teach them practical CBT/DBT skills and respectfully challenge them to step into their potential.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is all about understanding the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. In our sessions, we won't just talk about what's going wrong—we will look at the unhelpful thought patterns and negative self-talk that keep you feeling stuck. Together, we’ll examine those thoughts, test their accuracy, and replace them with realistic, grounded perspectives that empower you to take meaningful action in your life.
