Hello! I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Most of my experience has been with young adults through elder adults. I am licensed in Arizona and Illinois. Currently, I am based in Illinois and have been a psychiatric nurse for 30 years and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner for 8+ years. I received my post-master's certificate at Saint Louis University. I help clients understand their symptoms and work to find a safe and effective medication treatment for their specific psychiatric disorder.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first appointment together, we will start with brief introductions. Then, I will ask about your mental health and physical history, medications, the specifics of what brought you in, your challenges, and what your goals are. This will help us create a tailored medication and treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up appointments. Initial appointment is approximately one hour and the fee is $120 per 30 minute session for cash pay patients. I also take insurances listed in this profile.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I approach each person with the utmost respect and use a holistic method/attitude during the appointment to further the quality of living people deserve. I am passionate about this field and providing care for all as well as breaking stigma.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Having a diverse background, I tend to see clients from all walks of life and an array of mental health disorders such as mood disorders, anxiety, addictions, life transitions, schizophrenia, and substance use/co occurring issues. I have found people who are willing to put an effort into treatment and follow their treatment plan have the best outcomes.
