About me

As an LCSW and former Clinical Supervisor with 14+ years of experience, I provide a grounded, protective, and highly structured environment to help individuals process deep trauma, navigate complex grief, and recover from institutional or workplace burnout. My approach moves entirely past standard talk therapy; I draw heavily on evidence-based frameworks—including EMDR, Schema Therapy, and Transactional Analysis—to explore underlying behavioral patterns, break toxic cycles, and build concrete, tailored coping tools. My style is honest, collaborative, and warm, entirely focused on cutting through the daily noise to help you confidently get back to feeling like yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you will experience an exceptionally grounding, secure, and non-judgmental environment where you can safely lay down the heavy weight you’ve been carrying. We will move past standard administrative intake procedures to focus entirely on your immediate story, map out the root patterns of your current stress or trauma, and establish a clear, tailored roadmap for our work going forward. You will never be left guessing what I am thinking; we will close the hour with a collaborative review of our session notes together, ensuring you walk away with an absolute sense of clarity, a validated plan, and a concrete tool you can implement immediately to start reclaiming your peace of mind.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

The primary strength I bring to sessions is my ability to blend advanced trauma modalities—including EMDR, Schema Therapy, and Transactional Analysis—into a highly structured, collaborative, and transparent framework. My approach stands out because I actively demystify the therapeutic process. I utilize concrete externalization tools, mapping out ego states and behavioral cycles in a highly visual way that naturally resonates with neurodivergent, analytical, and high-stress professional clients. Furthermore, I engage in a unique collaborative summary process, reviewing our session notes together at the closing of each hour to ensure absolute clinical accuracy, foster deeper mutual trust, and guarantee you walk away with concrete, actionable tools every single week.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an analytical thinker, high-stress professional, or driven individual who feels completely overwhelmed by chronic workplace burnout, toxic institutional stress, complex trauma, or deep-seated relationship struggles. They are often the "strong one" who manages everything for everyone else, but underneath, they are exhausted from carrying it all alone. Their mindset is collaborative and highly reflective; they have likely tried standard talk therapy in the past but are now looking for a deeper, more structured approach to break repetitive cycles. Their primary goal is to look entirely past surface-level symptoms, process the underlying root causes of their triggers, and gain concrete, practical tools to reclaim boundaries, rebuild self-confidence, and confidently get back to feeling like themselves.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR to help you untangle and heal from painful past memories that still feel heavy or distressing today. Instead of just having you sit and talk about your past, we use simple, guided exercises (like eye movements or light tapping) that help your brain naturally digest and file away old stress. This process turns down the emotional volume on old wounds, so you can remember your past without feeling the sudden rush of panic, body tension, or anxiety in your daily life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to examine the immediate, real-time connection between your thoughts, your physical feelings, and your actions. Together, we catch and challenge the subtle glitches and negative assumptions in your thinking that fuel chronic worry, second-guessing, and daily burnout. I give you a practical, step-by-step toolkit to manage your inner dialogue so you can confidently stop anxiety spirals before they take over your day.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing as a warm, collaborative, and entirely non-judgmental way to help you talk through the natural mixed feelings you have about making a big life change, breaking a toxic pattern, or setting a hard boundary. Instead of pushing you or telling you what to do, I help you uncover what truly matters to you. This removes the shame of feeling "stuck," helping you find the authentic internal spark needed to make a brave choice.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy to intentionally steer our sessions away from just venting about problems, pivoting instead toward your hidden strengths and concrete future goals. We look closely at what is already going right in your week so we can build on it. This approach cuts straight through feelings of helplessness and heavy overwhelm, making sure you walk away from our hour with at least one small, immediate victory.
