[Accepting new clients in my Wait-List: will start seeing new client until Sept. 8, 2025] I’m a bilingual Latina therapist with over 15 years of experience helping adults work through anxiety, depression, and the emotional challenges that often come with life transitions—whether it’s starting over in a new country, becoming a parent, ending a relationship, grieving a loss, or navigating career changes. I provide a supportive and culturally responsive space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches can help you better understand yourself, develop healthier coping strategies, and create lasting changes that align with your values and goals. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to walk alongside you during a difficult time, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to create a welcoming and supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life, explore your main concerns, and discuss what you’d like to get out of therapy. I’ll ask some questions about your history and current challenges to better understand your experiences, but there’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to talk about. This session is also a chance for you to get a sense of my approach and see if you feel we’re a good fit. You’re welcome to ask questions about the therapy process, how I work, or anything else you’re curious about. From there, we’ll begin identifying some goals and start moving at a pace that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I’m a bilingual Latina therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting adults facing anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm—especially during major life transitions like immigration, parenthood, grief, career shifts, or relationship changes. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. I create a safe space where you can feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace. I use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you better understand your thoughts, manage intense emotions, and develop practical coping skills that promote balance and growth. My clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, anxious, or unsure of how to move forward, and together we work toward clarity, healing, and emotional resilience. I’m especially passionate about serving individuals who are navigating cultural identity challenges, complex transitions, or simply want to build a life that feels more aligned with their values. I bring a calm, grounded presence to therapy, and I believe in walking alongside you—not ahead of you—as you process your experiences and create the changes you’re seeking. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with warmth, honesty, and a deep understanding of the emotional complexity of life changes, I would be honored to support your journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support adults who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck—especially during life transitions like immigration, parenthood, loss, relationship changes, or career shifts. Many of my clients are high-functioning but silently struggling with stress, self-doubt, or burnout. They may be navigating cultural or identity challenges, trying to break unhealthy patterns, or looking for more meaning and emotional balance in their lives. If you're ready to better understand yourself, manage difficult emotions, and build healthier ways of coping and relating, I provide a compassionate and structured space to support that growth. Together, we work toward healing, clarity, and the confidence to move forward aligned with your values.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For the past 15 years, I have specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), working primarily with adults navigating anxiety and depression related to significant life transitions. My clinical work has focused on helping individuals adjust to challenges such as career changes, immigration, parenthood, divorce, grief, and identity shifts. I use evidence-based CBT techniques to help clients identify and restructure negative thought patterns, develop coping skills, and build emotional resilience. Over the years, I’ve tailored my interventions to support diverse populations, ensuring culturally responsive care that honors each client’s unique background and experiences. My approach is both collaborative and goal-oriented, empowering clients to gain insight, develop tools, and achieve lasting change in their mental health and daily functioning.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

For the past 15 years, I have integrated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my clinical work with adults experiencing anxiety and depression, particularly in the context of major life transitions. These transitions include shifts such as immigration, parenthood, relationship changes, grief, and career adjustments. My DBT-based approach focuses on enhancing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness—skills that are especially valuable during periods of change and uncertainty. I work collaboratively with clients to create a structured, validating therapeutic environment that helps them develop the tools needed to navigate emotional upheaval, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and build a life aligned with their values. My experience also includes adapting DBT interventions to meet the unique cultural, spiritual, and personal needs of a diverse adult population.
