Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help clients identify and understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and support them in developing healthier cognitive and behavioral patterns. This structured, goal‑oriented method empowers clients to build coping skills, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and make meaningful changes in their daily lives.
Trauma-Focused CBT
My trauma‑informed lens prioritizes choice, empowerment, and pacing, ensuring that clients feel grounded and in control throughout the therapeutic process. I work to help individuals reframe trauma‑related beliefs, reduce distress, and strengthen resilience while honoring their lived experiences.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy allows me to highlight clients’ existing strengths, resources, and successes. By focusing on what is already working and identifying small, achievable steps forward, SFBT helps clients build momentum and confidence. This model is especially effective for clients seeking practical strategies, brief interventions, or support in navigating specific challenges.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help clients build practical skills for managing emotions, reducing distress, and improving relationships. Through mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, I support clients in balancing acceptance with meaningful change. My DBT‑informed approach is trauma‑responsive, collaborative, and focused on helping clients feel more grounded, empowered, and capable in their daily lives.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I use culturally sensitive therapy by honoring each client’s unique cultural background, values, and lived experiences. I work collaboratively to understand how identity, community, and systemic factors shape a person’s wellbeing. My approach is grounded in cultural humility, trauma‑informed care, and respect for diverse worldviews. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported in ways that align with their cultural strengths and personal goals.
