15 years of experience

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. By using Cognitive Processing Therapy and Exposure Therapy, I treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have knowledge working with individuals that have experienced traumas related to the military, sexual trauma, and stressful events such as COVID-19. I am here to assist you in learning about yourself, your coping skills, and how to build on your strengths. As a therapist, I believe, my responsibility is to help you think about situations from a different perspective so you can overcome obstacles keeping you from living your life the way you want to live and stop feeling stuck.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will be asking many questions and getting to know you. Together we will create a treatment plan with the goals you would like to accomplish during sessions and how to accomplish these. We will discuss how often you would like to meet and what your expectations are. If we are a good fit and you feel comfortable with me, we will schedule the next appointment. Every so often we re-evaluate your goals and assessments.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Committment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Treatment methods are individualized and determined during treatment planning.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have experience working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder through the National Guard and foster care system. I have many years of treating depression and anxiety. Teaching coping skills and building social supports are also important.
