My name is LaTronya Hollingsworth, and it starts here with you taking this first step towards creating a healthy space for yourself to address and confront areas of your life that you want to change or increase growth. If you are seeking a safe space to tackle life problems, then I am the right therapist for you. I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 plus years’ experience helping clients cope with mental health issues and life stressors, depression, anxiety, grief, couples counseling, and interpersonal relationships. We can work together toward your healing journey.
During the first session, I will introduce myself and ask my clients about any issues or concerns they may have. We will discuss the client's expected outcome of receiving therapy. We will discuss what is working in the client's life and what the client would like to improve or address.
Working with me is a safe place to express yourself. It's a place to explore what works for you and what does not work. I have a sense of humor and enjoy making people laugh and smile. Life has several ups and downs, and I would like to help support you while you are encountering life. You are not alone, and we will find a solution to any concern or issues you may want to work on. I allow my clients to voice their opinions and develop goals and outcomes they would like to achieve while they are receiving therapy.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of therapy I use to help individuals find better ways to cope and manage stress through problem-solving. As CBT predicated on the idea that your thoughts create your reality. I assist individuals with shifting negative thoughts into positive thoughts, while assisting my individuals develop rational thoughts and behavior.
Dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT) form of psychosocial therapy I use to helps individuals learn how to feel OK around uncomfortable thoughts and situations, so they don't have to resort to destructive behavior, and increase their overall emotional health. in sessions, I implement lessons in real life through role-play and homework assignments to cultivate skills such as mindfulness.
