New to Grow
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience, I am deeply committed to helping individuals and families achieve emotional well-being, stability, and growth. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and trauma-informed care, ensuring that each client feels seen, supported, and empowered. I have extensive experience serving diverse populations—including children, adolescents, and adults—across settings such as behavioral health programs, private practice and educational environments. I specialize in supporting clients through complex emotional, behavioral, and life challenges, helping them build resilience, strengthen relationships, and rediscover their sense of purpose. Whether working with youth navigating difficult transitions, adults coping with anxiety or trauma, or families seeking healthier communication, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing and self-awareness can flourish. My impact as a therapist comes from fostering trust, promoting accountability, and guiding clients toward lasting change. I believe that meaningful progress happens when people feel both supported and challenged, and I am honored to walk alongside each client as they work toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
During our first session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. We’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy—your current concerns, past experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background and strengths, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for my style and approach. Together, we’ll identify your goals and begin to outline a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for you. Most importantly, I want you to leave our first meeting feeling heard, supported, and encouraged about taking this important step toward growth and healing.
What makes my approach unique is the balance I bring between compassion and accountability. I believe effective therapy is both supportive and practical—it’s about helping clients feel deeply understood while also empowering them to make lasting, meaningful changes. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, strength-based practice, and evidence-based methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness strategies. I focus on helping clients identify and shift unhelpful patterns, build resilience, and develop skills to manage stress and emotions more effectively. I also integrate relational and solution-focused techniques to support clients in improving communication, building healthier relationships, and achieving personal goals. Clients often share that they appreciate my calm, down-to-earth style and the sense of trust and safety they feel in our sessions. Over time, they notice improvements in self-awareness, emotional regulation, and confidence—along with a stronger sense of balance and direction in their lives.
I am best positioned to serve individuals and families who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives but may feel unsure about how to begin. Many of my clients are coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions that have left them feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. Others are navigating women's issues including infertility, post partum depression, parenting challenges, strained relationships, or the lingering effects of stress and burnout. I work well with clients who value honesty, compassion, and collaboration in the therapeutic process. My approach is supportive yet grounded in accountability—helping clients identify patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build the confidence to move forward. I particularly enjoy working with youth and adults who are motivated to better understand themselves, strengthen emotional regulation, and create lasting positive change. My goal is to meet clients where they are, providing a safe and empowering space for them to explore, heal, and grow. Together, we work toward restoring balance, deepening self-awareness, and cultivating resilience that extends beyond the therapy room.
