(she/her)
My name is Savanah Stiles, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years’ experience in providing individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents, children, adults, and families. I am trained in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Sand Tray Therapy, Triple P Parenting Model, Active Parenting, and The Matrix Model. I have a variety of experiences as a therapist. I have worked in outpatient therapy, teletherapy, home based therapy, intensive residential treatment, crisis response, inpatient hospital, and in an administrative/director role. I obtained my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana in 2010. I have continued to attend trainings over the last 15 years to better expand my knowledge and skillset and plan to continue doing so for the duration of my career.
In our first session together we will slowly get to know each other. I will ask questions about your current situation and your past. I encourage you to ask questions as well. We will talk about your goals, aspirations, and challenges. We will develop a treatment plan that works for you.
I believe in tailoring therapy to my clients needs. In my opinion, regardless of treatment needs, the approach in which therapeutic techniques are delivered is most important to patient success. I would describe myself as an optimist, but also a realist. I believe in a holistic approach. I am empathetic and a good listener. I strive to make my patients feel comfortable in session.
I enjoy working with a variety of patients. I have a passion for helping parents and anyone going through a life transition. As a working mother I know that challenges and pressures first hand. I also have a great deal of experience in working with teens and love a challenge!
I have been using DBT for years and have found it especially helpful and healing for anxiety, stress, and mindset. This form of treatment is also beneficial for Borderline Personality Disorder.
CBT can help in so many ways. It can help us view ourselves, the world, others, and our thoughts in more productive and meaningful ways. CBT also helps guide the use of many coping skills, especially for anxiety and depression.
