New to Grow

As a clinician, I bring curiosity, creativity, and a sense of openness to the therapy room. My interests in art, roller skating, and travel reflect how I move through the world: with curiosity, adaptability, and an appreciation for growth through new experiences. I tend to approach therapy in a similar way: collaboratively, with room for exploration, creativity, and the understanding that meaningful change often happens step by step.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In a first session, I focus on getting to know you! That means your story, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you hope might change. We might talk about patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self, while also identifying immediate tools that could help you feel a little more grounded or supported. I tend to draw from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, Attachment-based therapy, and Gender-affirming therapy, which means the session is usually collaborative, curious, and focused both on understanding your experience and identifying practical next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes these approaches stand out is that they balance insight with real-life skills. Some parts of therapy may focus on understanding how past relationships or experiences shaped your patterns, while other parts focus on learning concrete tools for managing emotions, communicating effectively, and responding to stress in healthier ways. Together, these approaches aim not just to reduce distress, but to help you build a life that feels more stable, authentic, and aligned with who you want to be.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I tend to work best with clients who are open to self-reflection and motivated to better understand themselves, even if they’re not sure exactly where to start. Many of the people I work with are adults or older adolescents navigating things like intense emotions, identity questions, relationship challenges, or long-standing patterns that no longer serve them. You don’t have to have everything figured out! All we need is just a willingness to explore your inner world and try new ways of responding to it.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical skills such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, to better manage intense emotions, and strengthen relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other, and to develop practical ways to change unhelpful patterns.

Gender-affirming therapy

My entire practice is shaped by principles of supporting and understanding you and your gender identity at any point through your journey.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS) to help people understand and work with different “parts” of themselves so they can heal inner conflicts and feel more balanced and self-compassionate.

Attachment-based

I use Attachment-based therapy to help people understand how early relationships shape their emotional patterns and to build healthier, more secure connections with themselves and others.
