Hi! My name is Lisa Eipp and I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. I have a School Counselor's degree from Syracuse University along with my licensure for Mental Health. I retired from the public school system in 2023 and I have been in private practice for over 25 years. I feel absolutely blessed to have this opportunity to share your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First and foremost - no judgement! I have been a partner in many traumatic journeys of recovery. There really is nothing that surprises me, all while believing that every single individual deserves a quality of life that is peaceful and of your own control. You are the boss. You deserve someone that you are comfortable with, so after the first session, you make the decision to carry on or not. I also, as a professional, will be completely honest with you if I feel I can help you. No judgment, no guilt, no hard feelings.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I understand that anxiety and panic attacks are paralyzing and living in a constant state of depression is no life at all. Let's fix that, let's move towards that improved quality of life we all deserve. I am a partner in your journey. You are not alone any longer, when you have someone in your corner you

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

As a school counselor I have 30 years of working with children ages 4- 19 years of age. I also have had my own practice and normally work with post high school individuals up to the age of 65. I am a trained Cognitive Behavioral and Compassion Focussed therapist, but currently continuing my professional development in Solution Based Focus Therapy. Many of my clients have anxiety and depression; as well as providing services to the LGBTQ population and individuals that are contemplating transition.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Years of use - psychoeducation - understand the connection of your emotions to your thoughts and then behaviors

Compassion Focused

Learning to love yourself and have compassion for yourself. I will have this with and for you until it feels "right" .

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This intervention works collaboratively with CBT, staying in the moment and the here and now. I will use these interchangeably to support behavior change and improve mood.
