Hello, I'm Trevor. Are you feeling hopelessly broken and unsure if anything will ever work because you are permanently damaged? Sometimes it can seem like if so much has gone wrong, then it must be me. Finding someone to actually try to listen to what you have gone through can be extremely difficult and end up feeling the same as before, not being heard or seen, and feeling alone. Together we can build a relationship that you can feel safe in and help you understand how your body and mind could have reacted to what you have gone through. We will use a combination of brain, mind, and body approaches that help give relief at all levels. Whether it's complex trauma, relationship issues, anxiety or depression, or different forms of addictions, we can work together to have your life feel more like what you want it to be! Reach out and let's help get you to where you want to go!
After our first session, you should feel like your concerns are heard, you understand the ways that we can address those concerns, and what to expect throughout our work together. You should expect me to ask about the process of our therapy since I am committed to making therapy the experience that you are looking for while feedback during this always-changing process.
I enjoy working from a trauma-informed lens. With the sentiment of "it's not what is wrong with you but what happened to you", I have a foundation of looking at the adaptive, normal ways your body reacts to abnormal situations. When working through uncomfortable emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and sensations, I like to use body and brain-based methods like Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems.
With training based on trauma, stress, and adversity, my focus is on working with those who have experienced difficult or overwhelming experiences. The use of cutting-edge interventions and building a safe, genuine relationship are at the core of my work. I have the ability to work with individuals who have experienced addictions and are either current or former athletes.
