Hi, my name is Heather and I have been helping people feel better and improve his/her/ze/ce/etc. lives for over 8 years now. My passion is to help people discover who they are and what they are capable of beneath the pain of trauma or emotional distress. I consider myself a teacher as well as a counselor of mental wellness. I will provide a safe place for you to be who you are and to work towards healing from the inside out. I utilize different forms of treatment that is tailored to you. My personal style is one of warmth and caring. My biggest areas are in treating OCD, Depression, trauma, Bipolar disorder, Obsessive Personality Disorder, Generalized Anxiety and PTSD.
CBT is used to help clients overcome thinking patterns that negatively effect overall self-construct and behavior patterns. We will uncover negative cognitions or thought patterns and retrain the brain to accept adaptive thoughts leading to improved moods, thoughts, concepts of others and behaviors.
