New to Grow
I work with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from carrying more than they should. Many of those struggles include anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, perfectionism, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Some clients are also working through childhood wounds, religious or spiritual trauma, grief, loss, or changing sense of identity. I strive to provide a supportive, collaborative, and calming space where clients can better understand themselves, heal old patterns, and move forward toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, religious trauma, grief, depression and life transitions. Using EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches, I help clients understand and heal the patterns keeping them stuck. My approach is warm, direct, collaborative, and focused on meaningful change. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable. Whether you're navigating a difficult season or seeking deeper healing and self-understanding, you don't have to do it alone. Therapy can provide space to explore, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you.
Before your first session, you will complete important documents that cover basic personal information, payment, and important policies. At your first session, expect your therapist to guide you through a discussion of your background, current issues, and goals for therapy. This is also an opportunity for you to ask your therapist any questions that will help you get your needs met. Some people report feeling relief almost immediately - this is common when we finally feel understood, safe, and have hope for change. However, often, change is slower. The important thing is you've taken your first step toward healing and growth. You can bring food, drink and or fidgets if they help you feel comfortable or help you focus. Pets are welcome in some cases but this has to be discussed first with your therapist. We need to be mindful of other clients who may be working through topics related to animals like trauma or grief. If you are uncomfortable with dogs or other animals please inform your therapist and we will ensure that there are no animals in the office on those days.
My approach to therapy is a bit of a balance! I meet each client where they are, but also join in the journey with them. What that looks like in session, is everything from holding space, to gentle challenging/directness as the relationship grows. I bring as much of myself into the session as I would any relationship and offer practical as well as evidence based approaches to struggles.
I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and religious deconstruction. My approach is warm, honest and direct. I believe therapy should be more than a place to vent - it should help you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that keep showing up, and create meaningful change. I strive to create a place where clients feel both supported and challenged. Together, we'll explore what's beneath the surface, build practical tools, and work towards a life that feels more connected to your authentic self. Specialties: Trauma, EMDR, Anxiety, and Religious Trauma/Deconstruction
Exploring attachment styles and understanding attachment wounds to more align with authentic self and secure attachment.
EMDR is a therapy approach that helps people process painful experiences that continue to affect them in the present. Rather than simply talking about the past, we'll work together to help your brain and body process memories so they feel less overwhelming and have less impact on your daily life.
Grief therapy looks different for everyone, there is no "right" way to move through it. I provide a supportive space to process your emotions and help you reconnect with your values and move in a way that honors your experience.
