Hi I'm Kate. I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience. I have worked with hundreds of clients in my career, helping them to navigate life's many challenges. My specialty is in big life transitions, relationship issues and grief and loss. I believe everyone has the ability to be well, happy and whole. Most of my work has been focused on age transitions. I love working with women in midlife to guide them as they navigate their changing body and shifting self identity. I am alternative lifestyle and alternative spirituality friendly. I am caring, empathetic and nonjudgmental.
I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation prior to our first session to ensure that we are a good fit. Therapy is all about the chemistry between the clinician and the client-so before we dive into a therapeutic relationship, let's make sure that you feel safe, supported and seen. If we decide to work together, we will work collaboratively to make a plan to get you from where you are now to where you hope to be.

Life happens in the transitions-but shifting, changing and growing can sometimes kick up feelings of anxiety and overwhelm. My specialty is helping clients navigate those big life shifts such as leaving college and entering the workforce, entering into a marriage, divorce and breakups, becoming a parent, entering midlife, caretaking for aging parents, empty nesters. I am here to guide you in navigating the big feelings that come when we are brave enough to follow our hearts. My passion is to help you to bravely get from where you are now, to where you want to be with joy, purpose and enthusiasm.
CBT is my "go-to" for helping my clients shift out of the feeling over overwhelm and stress and identify new solutions to their struggles. I’ve been using CBT in my practice for many years. and it has helped hundreds of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and more joy filled life.
I use EFT therapy and tapping to help my clients release anxiety, overwhelm and frustration. This "cousin" of acupressure uses the meridian points to reduce stress and clear the way for solutions and new ways of seeing problems.
