“I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, direct, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
First session
In our first session, clients can expect a safe and supportive space to share what brings them in. My role is to listen without judgment, understand your concerns, and begin clarifying your goals for therapy.
Strengths
I bring compassion, clinical experience, and a genuine commitment to helping my clients achieve meaningful change. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative, combining evidence-based therapies with an understanding that every individual has unique experiences and needs. I believe that building trust and creating a safe, non-judgmental environment are essential to successful therapy.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is an adult who is motivated to engage in therapy and work toward meaningful change. I welcome individuals experiencing trauma, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, or other emotional challenges. My ideal client is someone who wants to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, overcome difficult experiences, and improve their overall emotional well-being and quality of life.
Treatment methods
EMDR
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess traumatic memories, which can reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, and mood disturbances.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and teaches practical coping skills. Clients learn to notice automatic thoughts, test them, and replace them with more balanced ones, and practice new behaviors between sessions. That helps reduce anxiety and depression and improve daily functioning.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, client-centered style that helps people resolve ambivalence and strengthen motivation for change.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I meet clients where they are, offering empathy, acceptance, and genuineness, and trusting their capacity to grow at their own pace.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
Sure. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on solutions and client strengths rather than problems. It emphasizes what's already working, setting small, doable goals, and building on successes.
