New to Grow
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. I am an integrative therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s unpredictable ups and downs with greater resilience and ease. My approach blends the depth of psychodynamic insights with the practical tools of CBT, all grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you stop fighting your difficult thoughts and emotions. Together, we will work on building the psychological flexibility you need to ride out life's emotional waves, break through old patterns, and actively create a rich, meaningful life that feels genuinely authentic to you.
Our first session is all about taking a deep breath, breaking the ice, and finding your footing together. We will start by exploring what brings you to therapy right now and what your ideal life would look like if you weren't feeling so overwhelmed by life's daily waves. There is no pressure to have it all figured out or to dive into your deepest secrets immediately. Instead, we will use this time to gently look at any immediate anxiety or stressors you are facing, while starting to map out the repetitive patterns you feel ready to break. Most importantly, this session is a collaborative, pressure-free space for us to see how we vibe. You’ll get a clear sense of my style, and we will leave the session with a shared, compassionate game plan for how to help you find your ground and move forward.
What really stands out about my work is that I don’t view you as a problem that needs to be "fixed." Instead of spending our sessions trying to force difficult thoughts or anxiety to magically disappear—which is exhausting and usually doesn't work anyway—we focus on changing how you respond to them. Life is always going to throw heavy, unpredictable waves your way. My goal isn’t to pretend those waves don't exist; it's to help you find your footing so you can ride them out without getting knocked completely off balance. What makes this approach feel different is how we blend the "why" with the "how": We look at the big picture: We use mindfulness and your actual, everyday values to stop the constant tug-of-war in your head and figure out what a meaningful life looks like for you. We connect the dots: We gently look at the deeper, old patterns and past experiences that might be keeping you stuck in place today. We keep it practical: You’ll leave our sessions with real, down-to-earth tools to handle stress and quiet your inner critic in real-time. The biggest result my clients see isn't that their lives suddenly become perfect, but that they feel deeply resilient. They stop letting fear or overthinking make their choices for them, and they finally feel free to live a life that feels genuinely authentic, grounded, and whole.
My ideal client is someone who feels completely exhausted by the constant, unpredictable ups and downs of life. On the outside, you are likely doing your best to keep it all together, but on the inside, you are dealing with a heavy wave of anxiety, chronic overthinking, or the unsettling weight of a major life transition. You might feel like you are constantly fighting a losing battle against your own difficult thoughts and emotions, trying so hard to "fix" or suppress them that you have lost touch with the things that actually bring you joy, meaning, and a sense of purpose. I am best positioned to serve individuals who have reached a point where they realize that fighting their internal struggles isn't working anymore, and they are ready for a different approach. You are someone who is open to self-reflection and curious about the deeper, repetitive patterns that keep you feeling stuck. More than anything, your goal isn’t to find a magic wand that erases life’s challenges, but to learn how to effectively ride out the emotional waves without being completely knocked off balance. We will be a wonderful fit if you are ready to shift from a mindset of avoiding your feelings to understanding them, and if you are eager to rediscover what truly matters to you. You are looking for a collaborative, non-judgmental partner to help you find your footing, quiet your inner critic, and build genuine resilience. If you are ready to stop letting your worries dictate your choices and want to start taking meaningful, intentional steps toward a life that feels authentic and fulfilling, I am here to walk alongside you.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a method I have spent the last two years refining under the direct mentorship of an ACT-trained supervisor. In our sessions, I use ACT to help you stop fighting difficult thoughts and emotions, shifting the focus instead toward mindfulness and defining what truly matters to you. Because healing isn't one-size-fits-all, I organically blend this with psychodynamic insights to explore underlying patterns, and CBT tools for practical, day-to-day coping. Together, we will work on building psychological flexibility so you can navigate life's challenges while actively creating a rich, meaningful life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate Mindfulness-Based techniques to help you ground yourself in the present moment and cultivate a calmer relationship with your thoughts. By learning to observe your internal experiences without judgment, you can lower your baseline anxiety and respond to life’s stressors with greater clarity and intention rather than automatic reactivity.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I utilize a Person-Centered approach to ensure that therapy is always collaborative, non-judgmental, and tailored entirely to your unique pace. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, empathetic space where you feel truly heard and empowered to lead your own healing journey
Compassion Focused
I integrate Compassion-Focused Therapy to help clients quiet their inner critic and heal shame or self-doubt. When exploring tough past patterns or difficult emotions, building self-compassion is essential. Together, we will work on developing a kinder, more supportive internal voice to help you navigate life's challenges.
