Our first session is a supportive and collaborative space designed to help you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We will explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your current challenges, and identify the goals and changes you would like to work toward. I will also gather information about your emotional, mental, and life experiences to better understand your needs and determine how I can best support you. My goal is to create a nonjudgmental environment where you can begin your therapeutic journey with clarity, trust, and confidence.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a compassionate and grounded therapeutic space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and open to change. I combine clinical knowledge with real-world understanding, helping clients not only process emotions but also develop practical tools to navigate life more effectively. My approach is person-centered, culturally aware, and focused on helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, reframe limiting patterns, and move toward healthier and more fulfilling lives. They may feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about their next steps, yet remain open to growth, healing, and meaningful change. Together, we work toward reframing life experiences in ways that support healing, self-awareness, and forward movement rather than allowing past experiences or present obstacles to limit their growth and progression in life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a practical, evidence-based approach to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Throughout my experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have used CBT to support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, addiction recovery, and life transitions. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and build greater self-awareness. My approach is compassionate, person-centered, and culturally aware, allowing me to tailor CBT techniques to each client’s unique needs and goals. I often integrate CBT with mindfulness and other therapeutic approaches to support meaningful and lasting change.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a client-centered approach that helps individuals explore change, strengthen motivation, and build confidence in their ability to move forward. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have utilized MI with individuals navigating addiction recovery, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and personal growth challenges. In my practice, I create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore ambivalence, identify personal goals, and recognize their strengths. Through empathy, reflective listening, and collaborative conversation, I help clients increase self-awareness and develop meaningful, sustainable changes aligned with their values and desired outcomes.
