New to Grow
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide a warm, supportive, and strengths-based approach tailored to each client’s unique needs. My goal is to help clients build healthier coping skills, improve emotional wellness, strengthen relationships, increase self-awareness, and develop confidence in themselves and their decisions. I take a collaborative and individualized approach to therapy, meeting clients where they are while helping them identify practical tools and strategies. I strive to create a safe therapeutic environment where clients can process challenges, gain insight, and work toward feeling more balanced, fulfilled, and emotionally resilient.
A first session with me is designed to feel welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free. We would start by discussing what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience. Together, we will identify goals and begin exploring practical ways to support your emotional well-being and personal growth. Therapy should be collaborative.
Growing up in New York as the child of Jamaican immigrant parents with 9 siblings, I learned early what resilience, sacrifice, and strength looked like. Those early experiences shaped my passion for becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a mother of four myself, I carry both professional knowledge and lived experience into the work I do.
Lets be honest. Life can often feel like a puzzle with missing pieces. Lets design the perfect puzzle with the right pieces that fit together. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, perinatal and postpartum concerns, stress, burnout, and difficulties balancing personal, family, and professional responsibilities. My ideal clients are those seeking a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where they can feel heard.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the evidence-based approaches I use to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions. Through CBT, clients learn practical coping skills, develop healthier ways of thinking, and build strategies to manage challenges more effectively. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals, empowering them to create meaningful and lasting change.
Couples Counseling
Couples Counseling provides a supportive space for partners to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, navigate conflict, and deepen emotional connection. In my practice, I work collaboratively with couples to identify patterns that may be creating challenges in the relationship and develop healthier ways of relating to one another. Whether addressing communication difficulties, life transitions, parenting concerns, or relationship stress, I help couples build the skills needed to foster understanding, connection, and lasting relationship growth.
Family Therapy
Family Therapy helps family members improve communication, strengthen relationships, and work through challenges in a supportive and collaborative environment. In my practice, I help families identify patterns that may be contributing to conflict, stress, or disconnection and develop healthier ways of interacting with one another. Whether addressing parenting concerns, life transitions, behavioral challenges, or family conflict, family therapy provides tools to foster understanding, improve problem-solving, and create stronger, more supportive family relationships.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Therapy is integrated into my practice to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. Through mindfulness techniques, clients learn to become more present, manage stress more effectively, and respond to difficult thoughts and emotions with greater intention rather than reactivity. I use mindfulness-based approaches to support clients in reducing anxiety, improving emotional regulation, enhancing coping skills, and fostering overall well-being in their daily lives.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented approach I use to help clients identify their strengths, build on existing resources, and create practical solutions to current challenges. Rather than focusing extensively on problems, this approach emphasizes what is working well and the steps needed to achieve meaningful change. In my practice, I collaborate with clients to set clear goals, recognize their successes, and develop actionable strategies that promote confidence, resilience, and progress in a relatively short period of time.
