Hello! I’m Alora, a LPCC specializing in trauma and life transitions. My counseling style is collaborative and solution-focused. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to unpack ineffective habits, develop healthy coping skills, and help you get back to feeling like yourself. I do a lot of self- esteem and identity work with my clients as well to help guide while meeting their personal and counseling goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I work with clients who have experienced trauma and struggle with symptoms of anxiety and depression. In our initial sessions, we will identify your main symptoms, concerns, and counseling goals. Together, we will then come up with a treatment plan that best suit your current needs. Many clients learn how to manage their symptoms through learned skills and tools as quickly as in the first week of sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have worked with so many different populations in both community and private practice settings, which has allowed me to understand various perspectives of my clients. I often use Person Centered and Humanistic approaches along with my Trauma Informed training. Every client is different, so there is no "one-size-fits-all" thinking used in my methods.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Adults 18+ who are therapy motivated. I specialize in trauma therapy but can help with a variety of issues and concerns of the client. Clients that are going through life changes, have self-esteem or identity concerns, and/or are ready to deal with their past trauma(s) are very common. I have a large scope of experience in both community and private practice environments and am solution oriented to help clients meet their personal therapy goals.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I will meet clients where they are at. Once I am able to analyze their specific needs, then I can develop a personalized treatment plan with the client. The client gets to lead, while I can help guide through their process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I assess the client's current ability to process their thoughts. I find barriers such as common distortions that interfere with the client's growth through emotions and behaviors as a result of certain thought processes. I help the client identify and work through reframing thoughts to influence better outcomes for the client.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I also use DBT to help the client understand the connection between thoughts and emotions. I utilize DBT framework to teach the client the different areas that are impacted through dialectical theory. Clients are able to manage their emotions better and have coping strategies as well.

Trauma Informed Care

I am a trauma therapist and certified as a CCTP- II. I understand where a client may be in their trauma and meet them there to help them navigate through it.
