LMHC, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
Welcome! My name is Jordan, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I’m a perfectly imperfect human, dog mom, book lover and a highly sensitive person. I use my personal strengths and training and experience in mental health to provide compassionate, client-centered care. With a background in trauma-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, attachment-based approaches, and the nervous system, I tailor treatment to each individual’s needs. I create a supportive space for clients to explore their challenges and what is causing them discomfort, enhance their strengths, and develop practical coping strategies to move through life with a little more ease and joy. My goal is to provide others support on their journey toward self-discovery and healing. I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including veterans, adolescents, LGBTQ+ population, college students, and adults all facing trauma, anxiety, depression, struggling with perfectionism, and different life transitions. Through an eclectic approach, I support clients as they gain insight, develop coping strategies, and foster self-compassion. By providing support, education, and processing difficult and painful experiences, I’m honored to have helped people I have worked with to learn how to move through painful experiences with more skills than they had before, either begin to process traumas and loss or integrate the experiences more into who they are now, improve relationships, and create more meaningful lives.
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive space where they can start to unpack what brings them to therapy. We will discuss your concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and challenges while ensuring you feel heard and respected. Together, we will explore potential approaches tailored to your needs, whether that includes cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness techniques, or trauma-informed care. My goal is to create a collaborative and comfortable environment where you feel empowered to take the next steps in your healing journey.
My greatest strengths as a provider lie in my ability to create a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for clients while using a collaborative, strength-based approach. My strong interpersonal skills, analytical problem-solving, and commitment to lifelong learning allow me to adapt to diverse client concerns.
Therapy is a two-way street and I want to make sure we are a good fit for each other. I am a good fit for those who are navigating life transitions, feeling overwhelmed, or seeking to cope with painful and uncomfortable experiences that interfere with their goals and daily lives. I currently work with adults and young adults who are motivated to make meaningful changes, looking for support in building resilience, improving emotional regulation, and fostering self-compassion. Whether you are struggling with stress, relationship challenges, or adjusting to change, I provide a compassionate, strength-based approach to provide support to help you move forward. I work collaboratively with clients to develop coping strategies, enhance self-awareness, and create a path toward healing and fulfillment.
I take a strength-based approach to therapy by empowering clients to recognize and build upon their own inherent resilience, skills, and capabilities. Through collaborative goal-setting, I help clients harness their strengths to navigate challenges, foster personal growth, and create meaningful change in their lives. My approach is client-centered, emphasizing self-confidence, mindfulness, and self-compassion to support their overall well-being.
I have an eclectic approach to therapy, in which I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, attachment-based interventions, mindfulness and breath-work, and Polyvagal theory to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. I am also a 200 hour certified yoga teacher and integrate principles and exercises from yoga into my practice. Rooted in a person-centered framework, I emphasize collaboration, empowerment, and self-awareness, helping clients build emotional regulation skills, process painful experiences, and build self-efficacy in strengths client already possess. By drawing from multiple therapeutic approaches, I create a flexible and individualized experience that promotes resilience, healing, and personal growth.
I integrate principles of CBT into my practice to help clients reframe their thoughts, develop coping strategies, and implement adaptive changes. I tailor interventions to each client’s needs, fostering long-term well-being.
