I am a bilingual Texas-based therapist providing secure online counseling in both English and Spanish. With over ten years of experience supporting vulnerable and underserved populations, I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma, navigate life transitions, regulate emotions, and rebuild a stronger connection with themselves. My background includes extensive work with military families and individuals impacted by high-stress environments, which has shaped my deep understanding of resilience, identity, anxiety, and emotional recovery. While I am not currently providing private practice services to Active Duty or Veterans, I welcome civilian clients seeking compassionate, culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, safe, and empowering. Every person carries a unique story, and I tailor treatment to your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My work integrates evidence-based practices to help you better understand yourself, manage overwhelming emotions, break unhealthy patterns, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Whether you are feeling stuck, emotionally exhausted, struggling with anxiety, processing painful past experiences, or seeking clarity and personal growth, you do not have to face it alone. My goal is to walk alongside you with warmth, insight, and practical tools that support real healing and forward movement. Healing is possible. Growth is possible. A healthier relationship with yourself is possible. I would be honored to support you on your journey.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will complete a comprehensive assessment to collaboratively explore the stressors contributing to your current concerns, as well as any relevant personal and historical factors that may be impacting your well-being. This process helps us gain a clear understanding of your needs and determine the treatment approach that best supports your goals. It is very important to me to meet you exactly where you are and ensure you fully understand the therapeutic process. During this session, I will also provide informed consent, review confidentiality, and answer any questions you may have so you feel safe, supported, and empowered moving forward in your care.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and its lasting emotional impact. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and CBT to help you safely process and heal from difficult experiences. Trauma affects far more than a single moment—it can shape identity, relationships, emotional regulation, and even family dynamics. My background includes working with survivors of various forms of trauma, including military sexual trauma (male and female) and other high-impact life experiences. While I am not currently providing private services to Active Duty or Veterans, this clinical experience informs my trauma-informed lens when supporting civilian clients. I also understand the distinction between Complex PTSD and Complex Trauma, which is essential in developing an effective and individualized treatment plan for those who may present with one or both. My approach is compassionate, structured, and paced to ensure safety, empowerment, and meaningful recovery. You are not defined by what happened to you. Healing is possible, and you do not have to do it alone.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am a Texas-based mental health provider offering online therapy for adults seeking support with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and sleep difficulties. With thirteen years of experience working across military, veteran, and civilian settings, I bring a deep understanding of how stress, life transitions, and unresolved experiences can affect emotional well-being. My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including trauma-focused therapies and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to support healthier sleep and overall functioning. I strive to create a collaborative, respectful space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in their healing journey. At this time, my private practice is designed specifically for adults and is best suited for individuals who are emotionally stable and seeking outpatient therapeutic support. I am not currently able to provide services for children, adolescents, or individuals experiencing active suicidal thoughts or requiring crisis-level care. If a higher level of support is needed, I will always help guide you toward appropriate resources to ensure your safety and well-being. My goal is to work with clients who are ready to engage in meaningful therapeutic work focused on growth, healing, and long-term change in a safe and supportive environment.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I was trained by the Beck Institute for Depression as a clinician and supervisor for CBT application. I have utilized this evidence based modality to treat a variety of conditions. The strongest evidence suggest we can make the most effective change between eight to twelve treatment sessions. Results vary by individual.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)
I have successfully used CBT Insomnia with Veteran and Active duty populations. This protocol lasts for a minimum of six treatment sessions, not including your initial assessment, treatment planning session, and discharge.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I have utilized CPT for victims of sexual trauma and combat related issues. This is a twelve week protocol to treat PTSD. A diagnosis of PTSD is required to use this evidence based practice. Your assessment, treatment plan session, and discharge session are in addition to the 12 weeks.
EMDR
I was trained in EMDR since 2014. I have since gotten trained in more advanced forms of EMDR. The total number of sessions can vary based on client need and presentation. This can be used for any kind of trauma and not just PTSD.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I learned the application of this evidence based practice applying it to chikdren and adolescents. I currently utilize this with active duty adult populations.
