Love "The first duty of love is to listen." When someone truly listens the problems come to light and can be healed, resolved. Your unique capabilities and telling of your story in the ways you choose to resolve what brings you here are highly valued in the counseling process. I may use assessments and diagnoses but may also help with adjustment or not need to label. I assess the problem and offer researched solutions proven to work. I use a variety of therapies, including a person centered approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also offer Equine and Canine Assisted therapy. I offer tele-therapy and remote video counseling.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session I will ask many questions to best understand you, your life situation, and any factors affecting your mental health in the 'intake'. You will have a chance to ask any questions you may have. In following sessions we will set goals for therapy and start therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am good at honing in on the problems and listening in order to assist clients in solving what they can themselves as well as providing researched therapy and support with solutions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love to help people of any age get from where they are to where they want to be, to heal, to grow, to find the special gifts within that they have to offer the world, and to find peace.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Love "The first duty of love is to listen." When someone truly listens the problems come to light and can be healed, resolved. Your unique capabilities and telling of your story in the ways you choose to resolve what brings you here are highly valued in the counseling process. I may use assessments and diagnoses but may also help with adjustment or not need to label. I assess the problem and offer researched solutions proven to work. I use a variety of therapies, including a person centered approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The research on CBT has shown that it is as effective as many medications for depression, anxiety, trauma, and a variety of mental health problems and can also be used along with medication to see great results.
