New to Grow
Samantha Figueroa specializes in helping people heal from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma and navigate life transitions. She takes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed, strengths-based, holistic, and somatic approach to work with clients to help them heal and improve their relationship with themselves, others, and the world. She is also a meditation and yoga teacher, shamanic practitioner, and sound healer.
Your first session is a chance to share what brought you here and get a feel for how I work together with you. We'll talk through what's felt hard, touch on how things show up in your body as well as your mind, and begin to gently map out what ongoing support could look like for you moving forward.
I bring a rare blend of clinical training and embodied healing practice to every session. As a licensed therapist, I ground our work in real clinical skill, while also drawing on somatic practice, shamanic tradition, sound healing, and meditation to meet you beyond just the mind. This integrative approach means we're not limited to talk therapy alone. We can work with your body, your nervous system, and deeper patterns, so healing feels layered and lasting rather than surface level.
My ideal client is someone navigating anxiety, disconnection, life transitions, or patterns rooted in past pain, who is ready to look beneath the surface rather than just manage symptoms. They're open to healing that includes the body and spirit, not just the mind, even if practices like somatic work or sound healing are new to them. They may be tired of cycles that no longer serve them and are seeking real, lasting change rather than a quick fix. Most of all, they're willing to show up with curiosity and honesty, even when the work feels uncomfortable.
I offer unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity, trusting each client's own capacity for growth and self-understanding.
I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities and tailor the approach to each client rather than relying on a single method, so treatment reflects what actually works for you.
I help clients explore how relationship patterns and communication dynamics contribute to current struggles, working toward healthier connection with others.
I integrate awareness of physical sensations with emotional processing, recognizing that healing often requires working with the body, not just the mind.
I use present-moment awareness practices to help clients build capacity to observe thoughts and feelings without becoming overwhelmed by them.
