11 years of experience

Hello, I appreciate you taking the time to read my bio, and I am looking forward to meeting with you. I am a husband and father of five children and enjoy much of my free time with my family. I believe everyone is on a unique walk and faces situations they were not prepared for at some point in their life. I am trained and equipped to help you navigate these situations and will guide you back to the path you want to be on.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is about getting to know one another. I will work to get a better understanding of what you are wanting help with and we will build a plan that works for you. By the end of the session you should be hopeful and feel like we are headed in the direction you feel will lead to your success.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Clients often say that they look forward to each session, feel like they have actionable things to work on and know that they can work through things successfully after sessions with me. I feel I help them recognize their ability to work through any issues and through this they gain the insight needed to solve future challenges on their own. I feel that most people who have struggled in counseling in the past have found that they success with me and upon completion of therapy report they feel more prepared, confident, and ready for a brighter future.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have had the privilege of supporting individuals in navigating various mental health challenges through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Whether it's anxiety, depression, or trauma, I have worked alongside clients to empower them with tools and techniques to foster resilience and growth. Those who have embarked on this journey with me often express a notable improvement in their critical thinking abilities. What's more, even six months to a year post-treatment, many report sustained well-being. It's truly fulfilling to witness the enduring positive impact of CBT on my clients' lives. I look forward to the possibility of accompanying you on your own path towards mental wellness and personal development.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT recognizes the inevitability of life's challenges and encourages embracing the reality of pain as an integral part of growth. I've found that ACT resonates with a diverse array of clients, particularly those who seek a fresh perspective after exploring other therapeutic avenues. If you find yourself feeling stuck, grappling with symptoms related to depression, anxiety, psychosis, chronic pain, or obsessive-compulsive disorder, ACT offers a path forward.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I've been immersed in the transformative world of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for over a decade now. My journey began with an insatiable curiosity about human behavior and emotional regulation. Over the years, I've honed my skills as a practitioner, guiding countless individuals through the intricate process of mastering their emotions, enhancing interpersonal effectiveness, and achieving lasting change. My deep understanding of the theory and extensive experience in applying DBT techniques have empowered me to witness remarkable transformations in the lives of those I've had the privilege to work with.

EMDR focuses on accessing and reprocessing distressing memories, allowing for the integration of these experiences into a more adaptive narrative. By engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, clients can effectively process and release the emotional distress associated with traumatic events. Whether you're struggling with the aftermath of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, or other related issues, EMDR offers a unique and effective approach to overcoming these challenges. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment as we work together to unlock your innate capacity for healing and growth through EMDR therapy.

Christian Counseling

I enjoy helping people by looking at their Spiritual, Mental, and Physical health. As a Christian counselor, by your request we can use Biblical knowledge and understanding of how those three inter-relate to one another and explore how our thoughts, emotions, and spiritual values can influence our overall health.
