I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. I work with all age groups, though my primary focus for the last ten years has been children and adolescents. If you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, going through a transition or at a crossroads, I can help guide you to finding more clarity and lessen any burden you are carrying.
In our first session, I will conduct an intake session to gather pertinent information to understand your needs at this given time. My goal in this initial session is to make you feel comfortable, get to know you and your mental health goals, and give you space to ask any questions about the therapy process. Our focus overall is to see if we are a good match and get you on the right path.
My experience in utilizing an integrative approach helps me tailor therapy work to my client's unique and specific needs. I offer and seek feedback regularly and openly to ensure my clients are seeing the progress they hope for. I am skilled at providing short-term, structured and solution-focused work as well as long-term care where more processing and self-reflection are needed to address deep-rooted issues.
I am a good fit for clients that are motivated and ready to commit to self-reflection and examine any barriers that are getting in the way of their overall mental health and well-being. Clients that are prepared to start their journey of healing, transforming, and shifting will find my approach beneficial.
I have utilized Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in my work with clients for over 10 years. This approach is for best suited for clients that are motivated for change and able to identify areas of growth. I aim to guide clients in shifting their perspective on current issues and set realistic goals to facilitate change and long-term progress.
