Angela Wandungu
My name is Angela Wandungu. I work with working professionals, moms, young adults, and individuals who may feel unsupported while navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, stress, burnout, and other mental health challenges. Many of my clients appear to manage everything well on the outside, while internally feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, scattered, or disconnected. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. Sessions feel like real conversations rather than a formal interview. I provide a safe, judgment-free space where you can show up authentically and feel heard, supported, and understood. You do not need to have everything figured out to begin—just a willingness to take the first step.
I am a nurse practitioner with over five years of experience working with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
First session
Your first session is all about getting to know you—no pressure and no need to have everything figured out beforehand. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, the challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope to get out of treatment. Think of it as a conversation where we begin building a plan together that feels supportive, realistic, and tailored to your needs.
Strengths
My greatest strength as a psych provider is my ability to create a compassionate and supportive environment where clients feel safe to open up and share their experiences. This allows me to build strong therapeutic relationships and tailor treatment plans that effectively address each individual's unique needs and challenges.

Treatment methods
Supportive
The provider will utilize supportive therapy to better understand the patient’s experiences, stressors, and concerns affecting their mental health. Together, the provider and patient will establish treatment goals that align with the patient’s individual needs and overall well-being. Sessions will focus on reducing symptoms, strengthening coping skills, and monitoring progress over time. The patient will be encouraged to openly discuss challenges in a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment while receiving guidance, feedback, and emotional support throughout the therapeutic process.
