New to Grow
Many of my clients come in feeling stuck in the same painful patterns—miscommunication, emotional distance, or conflict that never fully gets resolved. Whether you’re navigating relationship struggles, anxiety, or the impact of childhood trauma, therapy can help you better understand yourself and create lasting change. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with attachment wounds, relational challenges, and major life transitions. Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences show up in your present relationships and build healthier ways of connecting with yourself and others. My style is warm, supportive, and direct. I’ll meet you with compassion, but I also won’t shy away from gently challenging patterns that keep you stuck. I value creating a safe, trusting space where you can be yourself, while also helping you move forward in meaningful ways.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your background, and your goals. I’ll also explain my approach and answer any questions you have. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
As an immigrant with a multicultural background, I bring a deep understanding of navigating different cultural identities, values, and expectations. Being in a cross-cultural marriage also gives me insight into how differences show up in relationships. I combine this perspective with CBT and attachment-based work to help clients feel understood while building practical tools for lasting change.
My ideal clients are individuals experiencing anxiety and depression who are seeking greater balance in their lives. Many feel overwhelmed by the demands of work, relationships, and personal expectations, and may struggle to find time or space for themselves. They are often motivated for change and open to self-reflection, wanting to better understand their emotional patterns, reduce stress, and create a more sustainable work-life balance. Some may feel stuck, burned out, or disconnected, and are looking for practical tools as well as deeper insight to improve their overall well-being. I work well with clients who are ready to explore both immediate coping strategies and the underlying factors contributing to their challenges, with the goal of building a more balanced, fulfilling, and meaningful life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my work, I integrate CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and thought tracking to address concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and relational stress. I also tailor CBT interventions to each client’s unique needs, incorporating their personal history, cultural context, and relational patterns.
Attachment-based
I incorporate an attachment-based approach in my work to help clients understand how early relational experiences shape their current patterns in relationships, emotional responses, and sense of self. I have experience identifying attachment styles (e.g., secure, anxious, avoidant, disorganized) and helping clients recognize how these patterns show up in their interactions with partners, family, and others.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I approach this work with humility and curiosity, collaborating with clients as the experts of their own experiences. I also integrate culturally responsive interventions and adapt therapeutic approaches, such as CBT and attachment-based work, to align with each client’s cultural values and needs.
