Greetings, I am Susan Lathe NP I strive to make the world a better place. I feel that I can accomplish this by helping people to live their best life possible. I am here to help. Medication or talk therapy? You decide what direction we take. We can work together to decrease symptoms that are bringing you down, symptoms that are keeping you from living a happy life. What ever your concern may be, we can tackle them together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

At our first meeting, we discuss the greatest concern, the reason for seeking help, and how we can best relieve symptoms. We also discuss background information and goals for the treatment. Goals may include talk therapy or medications.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my biggest strength is an understanding. I grew up with mental illness in the family and to me it was normal. I can truly understand what a patient and family is going through. I have been there. I don't shy away from those difficult, complicated cases that are slow to respond. Rather, I embrace the challenge to find the right combination of medication and therapy. I continuously look for a better way to do things. With an open mind and an open heart, I strive to meet the needs of all.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My experience lies with serving the adult population, over 17 years of age. With experience in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, insomnia, and mental health issues of the ageing population. I truly enjoy working with the older population, helping to navigate life's difficulties as we age. With the right tools, aging can be a joy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT aims to help individuals develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving to reduce psychological distress. Simply put, a different way of looking at things. A different perspective can help reduce anxiety, depression, and improve relationships.
