(she/her)
As a clinical social worker and level 3 trained brainspotting practitioner, I offer my clients 10 years of combined counseling experience working in schools, non-profits, faith-based agencies, and private practice with diverse populations. Prior to being in private practice, I was working in the education field as well as the faith-based non-profit sector engaged in community development and mentoring BIPOC youth and young adults. I currently focus my clinical work with adults in their 20s-40s who are figuring out their identities, relationships, and careers as they sort through issues of culture, spirituality, and various mental health experiences including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD. I specialize in trauma-informed practices and seek to provide culturally humble and spiritually sensitive support in particular to children of immigrants and mixed race youth and adults navigating intersectional identities. I identify as a BIPOC cisgender woman, second generation Korean American child of immigrant parents, and a progressive, justice-oriented and affirming Christian allied with various marginalized communities. I am also currently in an interracial marriage with two mixed race children, balancing a career in private practice and family life as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I have lived experience as someone who grew up with family members with undiagnosed and untreated mental health conditions, as well my own experience having diagnosed and treated ADHD and PMDD myself. I have a keen interest in relationships, intersectional identities, and feel passion about journeying with my clients through the deconstruction and reconstruction process of culture, worldview/spirituality, and holistic view of self.
In our first session together, we will go over goals and expectations, get to know you through the intake process and delve into the challenges you’re facing right now and explore how I can support you to progress towards your goals
I specialize in working w/women in their 20s-40s, people from BIPOC and immigrant communities, and individuals and couples w/ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Codependency, PTSD/C-PTSD, as well as religious trauma. As a neurodivergent adult and parent myself, I also work with adults who are either neurodivergent or in a relationship with another neurodivergent adult. I provide support and perspectives on individaul mental health, dating/marriage, family life, and parenting while dealing with a range of concerns around people with ADHD/ASD. I also specialize in supporting clients who identify as HSP/empath and identify as such myself. Finally, many of my clients work with me on ethnic identity, particularly when they are biracial or multiracial and working through trauma around race and identity.
I focus my work on adults (particularly BIPOC, AAPI or mixed race women) in their 20s to 40s
