New to Grow
Hi, I'm Dr. Simone Phillips, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. I strive to create a welcoming, collaborative space where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working toward meaningful, lasting change. I believe that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors often have deeper stories beneath the surface. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, ADHD, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life, I'll work with you to better understand what's contributing to those challenges and develop strategies that fit your unique strengths, goals, and circumstances. My approach is warm, personalized, and evidence-based because every person's story is different.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the experience. You're welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable discussing—we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and understood. Together, we'll begin identifying your strengths, exploring patterns that may be contributing to your concerns, and discussing practical next steps that align with your goals. By the end of our first session, I hope you'll leave with a clearer understanding of how we can work together and what the therapy process may look like moving forward.
I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is important to me because meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. One of my strengths is helping clients make sense of experiences that may feel confusing or overwhelming. I enjoy taking complex emotions, patterns, or life challenges and breaking them down into a way that feels more manageable and understandable. Together, we'll build on your strengths, identify practical strategies, and work toward meaningful changes that fit your life and your goals.
I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, ADHD, or difficulties managing emotions. Others simply feel "stuck" and are looking for support in gaining clarity and moving forward. My ideal client is someone who is open to self-reflection and willing to work collaboratively toward their goals. Whether you're looking to build healthier coping skills, improve relationships, increase self-confidence, or better understand patterns that may be affecting your well-being, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
