Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California with 30 years of clinical experience. I earned my master’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and my bachelor’s degree from Grambling State University. I provide therapy for adults ages 18 and older who are experiencing anxiety, depression, difficulty managing emotions, or challenges related to autism spectrum disorder. I also support clients navigating concerns related to career and school stress, relationships, family dynamics, and other life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes at their own pace.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll start with brief introductions and talk about what brought you to therapy. You’ll have the opportunity to share the challenges you’re facing, what feels most urgent, and what you’d like to change or improve. If you’re not sure where to begin, that’s completely okay—I’ll help guide the conversation at a pace that feels comfortable. Together, we’ll explore how symptoms like anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship concerns, or life transitions may be impacting your day-to-day life. If you’re experiencing concerns related to autism spectrum disorder, we can also address emotional regulation, sensory needs, burnout, and social or communication challenges. By the end of the session, we’ll identify goals and create a personalized plan to guide our work in future appointments. In follow-up sessions, we’ll focus on building practical tools, strengthening coping skills, improving emotional well-being, and supporting meaningful change. You can expect a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
With 30 years of experience supporting adults through life’s challenges, I’ve developed a practical, proven approach that helps you (a) identify the root cause of what you’re experiencing and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. My work is collaborative, strengths-based, and focused on helping you feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your emotional well-being. Clients often appreciate my ability to quickly recognize patterns, clarify what’s keeping them stuck, and provide tools they can apply in real life—not just talk about in session. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship concerns, or stress related to work, school, or autism spectrum disorder, I offer a supportive space where you can feel understood while also being guided toward meaningful change. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and foster lasting growth so you can move forward with greater clarity, stability, and peace.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love working with young adults in the early years of college or graduate school, those launching their careers, and adults of all ages who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. Many of my clients are motivated to grow and improve, but they don’t yet have the tools, support, or clarity needed to make that goal a reality. Often, they come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious—trying to manage emotions, navigate relationships, meet expectations, or make important life decisions while feeling uncertain about themselves. Some are struggling with anxiety or depression, difficulty regulating emotions, burnout, low self-esteem, or challenges related to autism spectrum disorder, such as sensory overload, social stress, or feeling misunderstood. My ideal clients want to feel more confident, emotionally balanced, and in control of their lives. They are ready to gain insight, build coping strategies, strengthen boundaries, and develop healthier patterns so they can move forward with greater clarity, stability, and peace.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to anxiety or depression and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. CBT is practical and goal-focused, and it provides tools you can use right away to feel more in control and make measurable progress.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients manage difficult thoughts and emotions without feeling controlled by them. ACT focuses on building mindfulness, self-compassion, and coping skills as you take meaningful steps toward the life you want. Instead of trying to “get rid of” every uncomfortable feeling, we work on accepting what we can’t control and committing to actions that align with our values.
