Your mental wellbeing is important. It is my goal to deliver quality care at every visit, ensuring you receive the attention, empathy and support you deserve. I am licensed clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in an array of clinical settings including state facilities, county mental health, and nonprofit community organizations. In recent years, I have served as a Subject Matter Expert for the California Board of Psychology. I specialize in the treatment of adolescents and adults. Adolescence is a significant time in an individual’s life. It is a moment when the adolescent personality shifts and reshapes as it encounters new environments and experiences. It is a time marked with excitement but also several challenges. Gently working through these challenges, provides an opportunity to learn about the self and prepare for adulthood. Over the course of adulthood, transitional life phases are not clear and unfold in unorganized ways. Raising families, deaths, marriages, separations, making career decisions or entering retirement, are just a few of these transitions. These phases can create confusion, contemplation, despair, or disrupt your connection to the self or others. Learning how to embrace these life phases with curiosity, compassion, and exploration can cultivate a more meaningful life. I have extensive experience treating mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, non-lethal self-injury, and other serious emotional disturbances. Whether the emotional or physical disruptions are related to life circumstances or something else, I will help you interpret these experiences and discover personalized strategies for navigating forward.
I bring my whole self into each therapy session. This means I am authentic in my treatment approach, and I ask the same of you. I encourage you to bring your whole, authentic self to each session to allow for reflection, healing, and growth.
My therapeutic approach incorporates psychodynamic and existential theory, evidence-based practices, and mindfulness.
My biggest strength is relational warmth. I am invested in forming a collaborative relationship where you feel secure, connected, and a sense of "feeling felt."
