New to Grow
Hello, my name is Ceyonna Lewis and I am a LPC and board approved supervisor in Virginia and a LCPC in Maryland who supports teenagers and adults through overwhelming feelings caused by daily life stressors, substance use and addiction, and their transition to and through parenthood. During our time together, will explore your experiences, identify stressors, and build meaningful and effective tools that promote healing, stability, and emotional resilience.
During your first session, we’ll take some time to get to know one another and talk about your interest in therapy. We’ll explore aspects of life that feels most important to you and what you hope to gain from therapy. You don’t have to come in knowing exactly what to say or where to start, we’ll figure that out together. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, feel heard and supported, and leave with a sense of direction for how to move forward.
I provide psychotherapy to individuals and families interested in strengthening their emotional wellbeing and relationships. My approach is welcoming, intentional, and collaborative, creating opportunities for sessions to move at a pace that feels right for you and opportunities for you to feel safe in speaking openly about concerns without judgment. Therapy is a space for you to pause, breathe, and be seen. When you’re ready, I invite you to send a message and/or call to schedule your first appointment. Just remember, you are not alone in your journey.
My ideal client is someone who may be navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, build confidence, create healthier boundaries, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I am especially passionate about supporting women, mothers, members of the Black community, and LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate experiences related to relationships, identity, self-worth, personal growth, and emotional wellness.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and how certain patterns may be affecting your daily life. During sessions, we explore unhelpful thought patterns, challenge beliefs that may be holding a client back, and work toward developing healthier ways of thinking and responding to difficult situations. My goal is to help client's better understand themselves while building practical strategies that support confidence, emotional wellness, and meaningful change.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT skills to help clients better understand and manage intense emotions, navigate difficult situations, improve relationships, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. We may focus on practical skills, such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, setting boundaries, and communicating needs effectively. My approach is collaborative and focused on helping clients build skills that feel realistic and useful in everyday life situations.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use the person-centered approach by meeting clients where they are, without judgment or pressure in having everything figured out. I provide a supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and goals while helping them recognize their strengths, trust themselves, and move toward growth in a way that feels authentic to them.
