LMFT, 18 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m Yu Enomoto, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach is collaborative and grounded in humanistic, person-centered principles, honoring your unique story and inner wisdom. I believe that healing begins in a safe, trusting relationship where you can explore your experiences without judgment and reconnect with your authentic self. I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, and cultural challenges. In our work together, we’ll explore what’s on your heart, uncover new perspectives, and gently work through what’s been holding you back. My goal is to help you move toward greater clarity, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of connection to yourself and to those around you.
In our first session, I’ll invite you to share the challenges you’re facing and gather some background to better understand your situation. This time is focused on beginning to build trust and gaining insight into how your experiences may be impacting you.
With 18 years of experience as a therapist, I have worked in community clinics, psychiatric facilities, field-based programs, and private practice, giving me broad experience with diverse clinical needs. As a Japanese therapist and first-generation immigrant with lived cross-cultural experience, I bring cultural sensitivity, awareness, and respect to my work, supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds with empathy and understanding.
I specialize in supporting adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and cultural challenges.
Rooted in a humanistic approach, I bring empathy, authenticity, and respect for each individual’s lived experience, recognizing the value and potential in every person. I emphasize collaboration and self-exploration, helping clients feel empowered to make choices, take action, and shape their own lives. In this supportive space, clients can safely express themselves, gain insight into their feelings and behaviors, and reconnect with their own strengths and values.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, attachment-based therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. By integrating these techniques, I tailor each session to a client’s unique needs, helping them deepen self-understanding, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I provide support to help individuals process loss and navigate the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral challenges it brings. I help foster resilience, facilitate healing, and guide clients in finding meaning and reconnecting with life after loss.
