LMFT, 18 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m Yu Enomoto, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach is collaborative and grounded in humanistic, person-centered principles, honoring your unique story and inner wisdom. I believe that healing begins in a safe, trusting relationship where you can explore your experiences without judgment and reconnect with your authentic self. I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, and cultural challenges. In our work together, we’ll explore what’s on your heart, uncover new perspectives, and gently work through what’s been holding you back. My goal is to help you move toward greater clarity, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of connection to yourself and to those around you.
In our first session, I’ll invite you to share the challenges you’re facing and gather some background to better understand your situation. This time is focused on beginning to build trust and gaining insight into how your experiences may be impacting you.
With 18 years of experience as a therapist, I have worked in community clinics, psychiatric facilities, field-based programs, and private practice, giving me broad experience with diverse clinical needs. As a Japanese therapist and first-generation immigrant with lived cross-cultural experience, I bring cultural sensitivity, awareness, and respect to my work, supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds with empathy and understanding.
I specialize in supporting adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and cultural challenges. 不安やうつ、仕事や家族のお悩みなどを、日本語で安心してご相談いただけます。
Rooted in a humanistic approach, I bring empathy, authenticity, and respect for each individual’s lived experience, recognizing the value and potential in every person. I emphasize collaboration and self-exploration, helping clients feel empowered to make choices, take action, and shape their own lives. In this supportive space, clients can safely express themselves, gain insight into their feelings and behaviors, and reconnect with their own strengths and values.
I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches in an eclectic and flexible manner, tailoring each session to your goals and unique circumstances. My integrative style allows me to draw from different therapeutic perspectives and combine them in a way that fits your needs. This ensures our work remains relevant, effective, and responsive to where you are in your process.
Together, we explore your feelings at a pace that feels safe, helping you understand your grief, adjust to life’s changes, and find ways to maintain meaningful connections with what you’ve lost. Grief looks different for everyone, and there is no “right” timeline. My approach honors your unique experience. Through gentle guidance, emotional support, and practical coping strategies, we work toward healing, resilience, and a renewed sense of stability.
