I identify as
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma is an experience that affects many people at some point in their lives. While the impact of trauma can be profound, it does not have to define a person's future or become a life sentence. Healing is possible with the right support, understanding, and tools. As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize that past experiences can influence how individuals think, feel, relate to others, and respond to life's challenges. Viewing concerns through a trauma-informed lens allows us to understand behaviors and emotional responses with compassion rather than judgment. Together, we work to identify patterns, build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and create a path toward healing and renewed hope. Acknowledging trauma is the first step, but learning how to navigate its effects empowers individuals to reclaim their lives and move forward with greater confidence and well-being.
Attachment-based
I utilize an attachment-based approach to therapy that recognizes the powerful influence our earliest relationships have on the way we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate the world. Early attachment experiences help shape our beliefs about safety, trust, emotional regulation, and self-worth. While secure attachments foster resilience and healthy relationships, disruptions in attachment can contribute to challenges in interpersonal relationships, emotional well-being, and overall functioning. Through attachment-based therapy, I help clients understand how past experiences may be influencing their current patterns at home, at work, in school, and in other important relationships. Together, we identify recurring thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may no longer serve them and develop healthier ways of connecting with themselves and others. Using evidence-based strategies and interventions, I provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen emotional awareness, build secure relationship patterns, and develop effective coping skills. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a foundation for healing, growth, and developing greater trust.
Child Parent Psychotherapy
Parents are a child's first and most influential healers. The parent-child relationship serves as the foundation for a child's emotional, social, and psychological development. Because children grow and develop within the context of their family system, meaningful and lasting change is most effective when caregivers are actively involved in the therapeutic process. I view children as part of interconnected family relationships rather than in isolation. Strengthening and enhancing these relationships is a central focus of treatment. Child therapy is not simply about helping the child; it is about equipping parents and caregivers with the understanding, skills, and confidence to support their child's emotional growth and well-being beyond the therapy room. Parent participation is an essential component of my approach to child psychotherapy. Through collaboration, education, and practical strategies, we work together to create a secure, nurturing environment where children can develop healthy attachment, emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence. By empowering parents and strengthening family connections, we lay the groundwork for lasting healing and positive change for the entire family.
Grief Therapy
Grief is a deeply personal journey that touches every aspect of our lives. Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a significant life transition, the loss of health, or the loss of the future you once imagined, you do not have to walk through it alone. I provide a compassionate, supportive space where individuals can process their grief at their own pace. Together, we will acknowledge the pain, honor your unique experience, and develop healthy ways to navigate the uncertainty that often accompanies loss. Grief has no timeline, and there is no "right" way to grieve. Rather than avoiding or suppressing the pain, healing begins by allowing yourself to move through it with support and intention. One of the most important truths about grief is that there is no way around it—there is only a way through it. While grief may change over time, it does not have to define your future. Through the therapeutic process, you can find meaning, resilience, and hope while learning to carry your loss in a way that allows you to continue living a fulfilling life. My approach is grounded in empathy, evidence-based practices, and a deep respect for each person's story. Together, we will work toward healing, helping you rediscover strength, reconnect with yourself and others, and move forward while honoring what has been lost.
