Working as a therapist for over five years has taught me a great deal, but perhaps the most important lesson has been the centrality of the therapeutic relationship. Therapy shouldn’t feel like a chore.

I believe therapy can be a refuge—a place to express yourself openly, explore how your brain works, and better understand how your experiences and circumstances have shaped the person you are today.

First session

In your first session we will discuss your background and history, explore what therapy has meant or looked like previously, work collaboratively on goals and a treatment plan as well as exploring diagnosis and co-occurring disorders. Your first session is also about creating our therapeutic space together, getting a feel for what they may look like as well as what needs are currently pressing.

Strengths

I specialize in co-occurring concerns and complex presentations, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), CPTSD, PTSD, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, gender identity and exploration, LGBTQIA+ concerns, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma-related disorders. I have extensive experience working with my Queer community. Additionally I specialize in interpersonal trauma and recovery from Narcissistic abuse. I take an eclectic approach to therapy as I believe in collaboration, curiosity, and meeting each person where they are. For this reason, I incorporate an array of tools, skills, modalities, and interventions all through a decolonized and culturally responsive lens.I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches rather than expecting clients to fit into a single modality.

Ideal clients

The therapeutic space I provide will be one of curiosity, assessing and exploring together. I emphasize the centrality of the therapeutic relationship and will approach your experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. I believe that therapy can be a refuge—a place to express yourself openly, explore how your brain works, and better understand how your experiences and circumstances have shaped the person you are today. I am the ideal therapist for someone who wants to understand the symptoms they experience and how systemic oppression and trauma connects to those symptoms.

Origin story

Working for years in an unsupportive environment left me reeling. How could a person who has so many relational strengths, insight, dedication and ability find very little validation or reverence? Becoming a therapist has changed my life fundamentally and answered so many questions that I had about myself, my career and the world. I carry an immense amount of gratitude to be able to connect with people and explore their world and the world around them for a living.

Ongoing work together

As a therapist, my goal is emotional processing, desensitization of oppressive experiences and re-narration of your own story in all it's complexities.
