Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a treatment method I utilize in my practice to assist individuals with shifting negative thinking patterns and behaviors. CBT has a structured goal-oriented approach to assist in managing emotions, thoughts, and actions.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
With DBT treatment methods, I utilize this in my practice to assist individuals with managing their emotions, cope with challenges, to improve their daily living. This method allows work to taken with individuals after sessions, such as activities to track emotions and behaviors to follow up and discuss in future sessions.
Motivational Interviewing
With this treatment method, I utilize also within CBT, as it helps with the ambivalence of individuals to assist them with finding their own motivation to change their behaviors.
Strength-Based
With this treatment method, I implemented this into my practice because it focuses on the individual’s present positive attributes, resources, and skills to promote healing and personal growth.
