I am a licensed professional counselor in Michigan. Although I have lived in various cities, I currently live in a small village in Northern Lower Michigan, with my husband, dogs and horses. I graduated from Central Michigan University, and have over24 years experience working children, teenagers, adults and seniors. I have worked in a clinical setting, a school setting and private practice. I specialize in teletherapy because my clients feel it is effective, efficient and with no travel required, it is convenient.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session you will have the opportunity to ask me questions as well as introduce yourself. In addition to discussing your current issues and concerns, we will review your history and significant experiences. Thereafter each session will center around you. I will help you process your experiences, identify coping strategies and set goals that will lead to real solutions and a happier life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I use a variety of counseling techniques, based on your issues, and your progress. If you are interested we can extend the sessions through "homework" using worksheets and exercises.

I have been trained in this area: using sleep restriction if necessary
