I am a licensed professional counselor in Michigan. Although I have lived in various cities, I currently live in a small village in Northern Lower Michigan, with my husband, dogs and horses. I graduated from Central Michigan University, and have over24 years experience working children, teenagers, adults and seniors. I have worked in a clinical setting, a school setting and private practice. I specialize in teletherapy because my clients feel it is effective, efficient and with no travel required, it is convenient.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our initial session you will have the opportunity to ask me questions as well as introduce yourself. In addition to discussing your current issues and concerns, we will review your history and significant experiences. Thereafter each session will center around you. I will help you process your experiences, identify coping strategies and set goals that will lead to real solutions and a happier life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I use a variety of counseling techniques, based on your issues, and your progress. If you are interested we can extend the sessions through "homework" using worksheets and exercises.

I have extensive experience working with adults, families, adolescents & children facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual identity and family/relationship issues. I also have a background in college and career counseling, resume preparation. I use a variety of counseling techniques, tailored to you. You are the driver. I have used CBT throughout my practice, It has proven very helpful for many of my clients experiencing anxiety and depression. teaches you to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. I also teach guided imagery, grounding and breathing techniques. These have been proven very successful helping people manage their anxiety and depression .
