My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assess and treat clients experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and stress-related conditions. Interventions include identifying maladaptive thought patterns, cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skill-building (e.g., coping strategies, emotion regulation, and problem-solving). Incorporates structured goal setting, psychoeducation, and between-session assignments to reinforce progress. Applies CBT techniques in individual sessions, with a focus on measurable outcomes, symptom reduction, and improved daily functioning.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in developing psychological flexibility and improving emotional functioning. Interventions focus on helping clients accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than avoid them, while identifying personal values to guide meaningful behavior change. Techniques include mindfulness practices, cognitive defusion, values clarification, and committed action planning. Supports clients in reducing experiential avoidance, increasing present-moment awareness, and building resilience in the face of stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Emphasizes values-driven goals and sustainable behavior change to enhance overall well-being and functioning.

Grief Therapy

Provides supportive counseling to individuals experiencing loss, focusing on processing emotions, adjusting to life changes, and finding meaning after loss. Utilizes techniques such as emotional expression, normalization of grief responses, and meaning-making to support healthy adaptation and reduce prolonged or complicated grief symptoms.

Motivational Interviewing

Uses a client-centered, directive approach to enhance motivation for change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. Applies techniques such as open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summarizing to support behavior change, increase engagement, and strengthen commitment to treatment goals.

Trauma Informed Care

Applies a trauma-informed framework that recognizes the impact of trauma on emotional, behavioral, and physical health. Prioritizes safety, trust, empowerment, and cultural sensitivity while avoiding re-traumatization. Integrates grounding techniques, emotional regulation strategies, and client-centered pacing to support healing and stabilization.
