I am a therapist who enjoys humor, believes in connection and is honest. Being authentic is an extremely important part of my practice. The journey that people take, when doing self work, can often feel very vulnerable and lonely. I am here to listen. In providing therapy, I am here to hold space a safe space, take the time to listen and provide quality, customized care. I have been in the field of social work for over 25 years, working with a variety of populations during their most difficult times and I would like to support you through yours.
Our first session is the beginning foundation for our work. It is an opportunity to start to get a sense of who you are and hopefully the same will ring true in reverse. We will discuss what your treatment interest are, answer questions and determine if we are a good fit.
The intrinsic ability to connect and be with people is one of my greatest strengths. Our world is so very busy; all of the time. Being able to be with someone, in a way that is kind and supportive, while they explore really hard things, is what I do best. I have worked with a variety of ages and they all have one thing in common; they want be seen, feel heard, and know they are supported. I am very, very good at creating such a space.
I have been trained in several interventions and approaches. Ultimately, at the heart of it all, compassionate self reflection is key. Using strategies that include both somatic and cognitive therapies, treatment is tailored to the individuals needs while meeting them where they are at.
