Hi there! My name is Essence and one of my passion areas is supporting college students and recent graduates in navigating the various stressors that come along with higher education (including the adjustment period following school). I work with individuals who may be struggling with balancing scheduling, relationships, family, and other responsibilities while maintaining a solid sense of self. If you are feeling yourself slip into a place that just feels 'off' or immobilized by not knowing what to do next, please reach out as I would love to support you through this chapter of your life. If you are a parent looking for an accessible way to get your college student started in therapy, please reach out!
Clients can expect to do two brief, 7-10 question assessments that help me get a better understanding of their current symptoms. Clients can also expect me to ask some questions about their past experiences with mental health and things they would like to focus on.
One of my strengths is curiosity and learning more about your experiences.
