Everyone needs help from time to time, but the hardest step is asking for help. Now that you’re here, you are well on your way to living the life you want. As a therapist, I am a systemic thinker. I use various talk therapies and techniques such as Narrative therapy, Solution focused brief therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and Mindfulness techniques to help my clients live better lives. I also encourage my clients to share their faith in therapy as this can often be a huge source of strength in the healing process. I like working collaboratively with my clients to identify the problem(s) causing emotional distress in their life and alternative ways to solve their problems. I enjoy working with teenagers, individuals, couples, families and groups. Some issues I have worked with are anxiety, depression, life - transitions (e.g. school, relocations, physical illnesses), child adjustments, PTSD, and grief. I look forward to witnessing your transformation in therapy!
During your first session we will review your intake form, assessments and get to know each other to ensure client-therapist fit. Remember, therapy only works if the vibes are right. We will also focus on treatment goal-setting during our first session. So please remember to complete your intake paperwork before your first session. Otherwise, session time may be used to complete your paperwork. Please note that I do not provide Letter Requests: LOA, FMLA, ESA etc.
My greatest strengths include my warm and accepting personality, authenticity, compassion, and dedication to your treatment.
I am best positioned to work with professional women of color and adult children of immigrants. I also enjoy working with client's wanting to improve their self-esteem and establish a healthy identity. My ideal clients are ready to do the hard work in therapy. I appreciate clients who understand that I can not do the inner work for them and take responsibility of their part in our therapeutic relationship.

Dr. Ebony is Amazing! She’s warm and welcoming. After just two sessions, her style of therapy has challenged me to want to grow into becoming a better person. I’ve tried several therapists but Dr. Ebony’s insight and understanding of issues has me feeling optimistic about therapist this time around.
