Andrew Koch
I’m Andrew, a Colorado therapist and founder of Contemplative Caregiver. I work with caregivers and people facing grief, stress, change, or family strain. My style is warm, mindful, shaped by your story. We make space for hard things, build on what helps, and find clear steps that fit your life.
First session
We’ll start with what brings you in and what you hope might change. You can share at your own pace. I’ll listen, ask questions, and help us find a direction for our work together. You’ll have space to decide whether working together feels right.
Strengths
I bring warmth, curiosity, mindfulness, and respect for your pace. I help you notice patterns and build on your strengths.
Ideal clients
I help those who care for others, grieve, or face change. They may feel sad, tense, lost, or worn out. They want a kind space to pause, share, and feel seen at your pace. We can name what is hard, find what helps, and set small goals. They need care fit for their needs and life, with no rush. My ideal client is open to doing the hard work at a pace that honors thier story and goals.
Treatment methods
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness to help clients notice what is happening in the moment, including thoughts, feelings, and body signals. We might pause to notice the breath, sounds, or sensations at a pace that feels comfortable. The goal is not to force calm or clear the mind. It is to build awareness, make room for feelings, and choose a next step.
