Hey! My name is Adalia Dominique. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with six years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, transitions, and periods of personal growth. Taking the step to seek therapy is meaningful, and I’m glad you’re giving yourself the opportunity to receive support and invest in your well-being. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and openly exploring what’s on your mind. My approach is collaborative and personalized, allowing us to work together in a way that feels meaningful to you and supports the goals you want to achieve.

First session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying your goals and what you hope to gain from our work together.

Strengths

I bring warmth, empathy, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental approach to my sessions. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while also feeling supported as you explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be impacting you. I enjoy helping clients make connections, recognize patterns, and gain new perspectives. When appropriate, I will also gently challenge you to consider different perspectives, step outside of familiar patterns, and explore areas that may be contributing to feeling stuck. My approach is supportive yet intentional, and I tailor our work to your individual needs, goals, and pace.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who is ready to create positive change in their life and is open to gaining a deeper understanding of themselves along the way. They are willing to explore their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns while working toward personal growth. You don’t have to have everything figured out. Juust a willingness to begin the process !

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you identify and understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to current challenges. In our sessions, we work to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build coping strategies that can be applied in everyday life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help you develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. Together, we explore personal values, practice acceptance and mindfulness, and identify meaningful actions that support the life clients want to create.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered approach to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. Together, we explore your experiences, emotions, and needs at your own pace while building on your strengths and helping you gain greater self-awareness and confidence in the choices that feel right for you.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use a solution-focused approach to help you identify what you want to change and recognize the strengths and resources you already have. Together, we focus on what is working, explore practical solutions, and develop realistic steps that can help you move toward your goals.
