New to Grow
Hi, I’m Rileigh Campbell, LPC. My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on helping you build a healthier relationship with your thoughts and emotions while moving toward a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your values. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while also gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you develop the tools and clarity to navigate life more effectively, even when things are difficult.
In our first session, you can expect things to feel pretty relaxed and conversational. There's no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you’re ready for. I’ll spend some time getting to know you, what’s been going on, what brought you in, and what you’re hoping might feel different in your life. We’ll also start talking about what matters to you. This includes your values, the kind of person you want to be, and the life you want to move toward. Overall, the first session is about getting to know each other and setting a foundation.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which means we focus on changing how you relate to tough thoughts and feelings, not getting rid of them. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, more in control, and better able to handle what life throws at you. Coming from a community health background, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients across diverse identities, life experiences, and levels of access to resources. Because of that, I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. I’m always considering the full context of your life, including systemic factors, support systems, and real-life barriers.
I enjoy working with young adults and adults who are navigating change, seeking greater clarity, or wanting to feel more grounded in their day-to-day lives. My ideal clients are those who are open to self-reflection and interested in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, even if they’re not sure where to start. I aim to create a supportive space where clients can explore challenges, build insight, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and meaningful to them.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in building psychological flexibility and fostering a more compassionate relationship with their thoughts and emotions. Rather than aiming to eliminate distress, I help clients learn to accept internal experiences while identifying and engaging in actions that align with their values. This approach incorporates mindfulness, present-moment awareness, and values-based decision-making to encourage meaningful, lasting change.
