I take a client centered approach to working with all my clients as each person is unique and having a specific treatment plan will accommodate healing. I have extensive experience with trauma, and I am trained in several trauma treatments including EMDR and EFT. My overall approach is mindfulness based as I believe that our thoughts, and the emotions related to those thoughts, control our life. Personally, I have struggled with anxiety and depression at various times in my life and have used many different modalities to affect change in my life. My own experience with anxiety and depression has taught me that our thoughts and self-kindness are the key to being at peace through life's journey.
I strive to provide each client with a treatment plan specific to them and a plan that they can begin to use in daily life to alleviate their symptoms. I take a pro-active approach to assist clients with making real change in their lives.
I use a variety of treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Emotional Freedom Technique (ETF); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR); and Mindfulness.
I like to use a combination of several therapeutic techniques to assist my clients, mainly, CBT, EFT and Mindfulness. Each treatment plan is specific to the client.
