New to Grow
I am a compassionate, empathetic, and culturally sensitive therapist with experience supporting adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, substance use, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. I believe therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard, valued, respected, and empowered throughout their healing journey. My approach focuses on helping clients develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen communication and relationships, increase self-awareness, and build resilience during difficult seasons of life. I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where clients can openly process challenges, identify personal strengths, and work toward meaningful, lasting positive change. My goal is to equip individuals with practical tools and confidence to improve their emotional well-being, relationships, daily functioning, and overall quality of life.
During the first session, we will discuss your concerns, goals, background, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I will provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can share openly at your own pace while we begin developing a treatment plan tailored to your needs and strengths.
My greatest strengths include building strong therapeutic relationships, creating a safe and welcoming environment, and using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. I am passionate about helping clients feel empowered, understood, and supported as they develop healthier coping skills, emotional resilience, and lasting positive change.
I work best with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, autism-related family challenges, and substance use disorders. I support clients seeking emotional healing, healthier coping skills, improved self-esteem, and personal growth. My ideal clients are individuals motivated to create positive change, build resilience, improve relationships, and develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors in a supportive, culturally sensitive environment.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients identify negative thought patterns, understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop healthier coping skills. I incorporate cognitive restructuring, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and problem-solving techniques to support lasting behavioral change and recovery.
Motivational Interviewing
I have experience using Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen motivation for change, and build confidence in their recovery process. In my practice, I use a client-centered and nonjudgmental approach that incorporates active listening, open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and goal-setting to support positive behavioral change and enhance treatment engagement.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I have experience using Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients increase self-awareness, manage stress, regulate emotions, and remain present in the moment. In my practice, I incorporate mindfulness techniques such as grounding exercises, breathing strategies, meditation, and emotional awareness practices to support clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use recovery.
