New to Grow
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don't have to navigate it alone. I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with 3 years of supervised counseling experience and over 20 years as a school-based counselor, I've worked with adolescents, adults, and families facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and stress. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore the challenges you're facing, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once. I want you to feel comfortable moving at your own pace. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and confident that you have a partner in your journey toward healing and growth.
I am intentional about creating a space where people feel safe enough to be themselves. I bring warmth and genuine interest during sessions which helps to establish a flow in communication. I also provide honest feedback and practical strategies clients can use outside of therapy. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that recognizes your resilience while helping you navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. I believe healing happens through a trusting therapeutic relationship, and I'm committed to meeting you with compassion, respect, and encouragement every step of the way. My goal is to provide a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.
I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and families who are ready to better understand themselves and create positive change in their lives. I have worked with clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, family conflict, or major life transitions. Others may simply feel stuck and want support in developing healthier coping skills, improving communication, building self-confidence, or finding a greater sense of balance. Having spent much of my career supporting adolescents and families, I understand that challenges rarely affect just one area of life. Together, we'll look at the whole picture and develop practical strategies that support your emotional well-being and personal growth. Whether you're seeking support during a difficult season or looking to make lasting changes, I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we can work together toward the goals that matter most to you.
I identify as
Integrative
I don't believe there's a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I work collaboratively with each client, using evidence-based techniques that best fit their goals, experiences, and strengths. That's why I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed practices to meet your individual needs. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop practical tools for managing life's challenges, and create realistic goals that help you move forward with confidence.
